Tissus Dimitri is the story of a family business.

We'll tell you all about it: Tissus Dimitri is the 4th generation of fabrics from father to son. It all began in the '30s with great-grandfather Wielfried. He was a tailor and had a fabric store in Courtrai. His son Dimitri continued in the '60s with the help of his wife Monique, going to the markets every morning and opening the fabric store in Wervicq in the afternoons.

The duo worked well together. Dimitri was a smooth talker, very talkative and sociable, which appealed and was very successful. His wife Monique was above all business-minded and ambitious. Around 1965, they decided to settle in Mouscron on the famous Rue de la Marlière, a very busy shopping street at the time. The store was always busy, with people queuing on the sidewalk every day before opening time.

When Monique and Dimitri's son, Wladimir, announced at the age of 17 that he too wished to continue in this vein, it came as no surprise that the 3rd generation naturally came to lend a hand and take up the torch.
